About
Mel is an Australian/Turkish artist whose perspective combines her background in psychology with her passion for digital illustrations and abstract mixed media. Based in Melbourne, her artworks capture a diverse array of themes through surreal interpretations that echo her personal experiences.
Each creation is infused with the colours of nature, moments in daily life, literature, or elements from games and films, offering viewers glimpses into her imaginative worlds. Mel’s aim is to transform her inspirations into visual narratives to invite an emotional and intellectual engagement from the audience. Each piece stands as a testament to her ongoing exploration of the intertwined nature of art and human experience.
In 2022, Mel gained recognition when her work was featured in a curated international art catalogue on ISSUU, showcasing her art on a global platform. Her abstract works were exhibited in August 2023 at the Colours and Sounds exhibition in La Havre, France.
In October 2024, Mel had her solo exhibition titled 'Exploring The Self' at Samsun Arts Centre in Turkiye. The exhibition focused on representing the diverse aspects of womanhood.
